Our Beton Cire system is a multi-layered coating system designed to be applied on interior domestic walls and ceilings. Beton Cire is an adaptation of one of our best-selling systems, Microcement; this combination of products can only be used in areas which are not exposed to any type of moisture. This system has been designed with the Microcement look in mind, helping achieve a seamless coating at an attractive cost. This kit consists of all the Microcement components EXCEPT the final Top Resin, instead you will be provided with Wax D’arte.

Specifications

Complete Beton Cire application:

Primer - The Atomo Primer which is suitable for porous substrates including freshly plastered walls.

ANTICRACK SYSTEM (SOLD SEPARATELY):

The anticrack system is composed of the Continuo Base basecoat, as well as 168gr glass fibre mesh. Depending on where the product is being applied, the anticrack system is a hugely important component that will prevent any cracking of the substrate.

Deco A+B - These 2 components make up the plaster, that will provide the colour and look to the whole application. Deco A, is the main plaster which is coloured to the desire shade. Deco B is a powder which is mixed into the Deco A to begin the hardening process.

Link A+B - Link is a bi-component penetrating pre sealer that slightly darkens the plaster. The final colour will only be achieved once the Link component has dried. Link A is mixed with Link B, and a measure amount of water is added before being applied in a single coat.

WAX D'ARTE - The wax is the main protector of the Beton Cire system. We recommend applying 1 coats of wax. This should be applied a minimum of 12 hours after the final coat of Continuo Deco has been applied.

Disclaimers

  • The Beton Cire system should only be applied by applicators that have prior experience with these types of coating systems. There are multiple layers to be applied, and each of the components require some level of mixing or manipulation in order to prepare the material. We recommend having mixing scales to hand when preparing material, to ensure that the mixing quantities are adequately adhered to.

  • An application video can be found on our YouTube channel for Microcement which can be used as a guidance for the application of this system. The video shows the application of the anti-crack system which is an optional component for this application, however we strongly advise using the anti-crack system for prevention of crack formations. The main difference between applying Microcement and Beton Cire would be the application of the final protector, the Wax D'Arte should be applied as the last step rather than Continuo Top that is shown in the video. We strongly advise that you contact us prior to ordering this product if you have any doubts or concerns about an upcoming project.

  • Please bear in mind this product does not have the same properties as the full Microcement System. This system has been created to achieve the Microcement look for those who would like to have this luxurious finish in other areas of their property.

  • The Microcement Moodboard set can be purchased to see the colours physically. Each moodboard displays the Continuo Top which is not an accurate representation of the final protector which is included in this kit.

Is an Anticrack System required?

Optional - Recommended

The anticrack system is applied to prevent any movement of the substrate, from cracking the Microcement application. This is especially important in new builds, where foundations may still be settling in. If purchased as part of a microcement kit, an additional discount is applied.

*The Beton Cire Kit is not suitable for floors or wetroom applications* As it does not include the protective resin.

This anticrack bundle contains:

1x 25kg Continuo Base basecoat.

1x 12m of 168gr fibreglass mesh.

  • Continuo Deco Component A - Decorative Plaster For Microcement In Selected Colour (Requires Deco Component B)

Decorative Coat

Deco Component A

Deco Component A is the main plaster component of the Microcement system. This 15kg Bucket of material contains the desired colour for the application, and is prepared in house by us. This means that the colour will be ready when you receive the material.

Deco Component B

This is a 5kg bag of powder that is mixed into the Deco A in order to achieve a working consistency, and eventually harden the plaster. This component is the same regardless of which colour is selected for the Deco A.

Link - Pre-sealer

Link Component A

Link Component A is the first part of this 2-part pre-sealer. The pre-sealer is applied onto a dry second coat of plaster, to penetrate and seal the pores of the application. This step darkens the finish finish slightly, meaning that only after this step, the full colour of the application can be appreciated.

Link Component B

Link Component B is mixed together with Link Component A and additional water is added. This creates the complete mix of pre-sealer that is then rolled over the decorative coat.

Wax D'arte - Finishing Protector

Wax D'arte

This is the final step of the Beton Cire application. This synthetic wax is applied on 1 coat and will provide a protective layer to your final finish, with a glossy effect.

This wax is a crucial element that contributes to the glossiness which is associated with the 'Waxed Concrete Effect' also known as Beton Cire.
