The range of solvent-based Lustre Metallic Waxes, are perfect for creating an antique-like finishing touch on different surfaces. It's best to apply by cloth, to create a permanent, non-tarnishing finish on decorative plasters. 

It can be used on lightly or heavily textured Venetian plasters, but it's also ideal for antiquing on furniture, frames, ceramics or virtually any other surface.

Specifications

  • These metallic waxes can sometimes be overpowering depending on the finish. We recommend that they are tested in a small area before committing them to an entire application.

  • These waxes do not just provide a colour that enhances the application, but also offer a level of protection to the overall finish.

  • These waxes can be applied using our fine polishing cloth.

  • 200ml per 5-10sqm (Highly depends on the intended effect).

Disclaimers

  • Please note that improper application of most protective or decorative waxes can lead to the finish being ruined. The final application can be left burry or unevenly polished due to this. For this reason, we recommend that the wax is distributed evenly within the finish. On textured finishes, it is important to make sure that no clumps are left behind as these can discolour the plaster over time.

Please keep in mind that the final look of the wax will change as it dries, with the colour becoming darker.
