The Black Wax d'arte is the ideal product to use on black and or very dark coloured Venetian plasters, to give a deeper, glossy finish to interior surfaces. It should be applied with a polishing cloth, and buffed with a lambswool bonnet. 

It's a popular option to use on various decorative plasters, but it's also suitable for the Microcement system to give more definition to the finish.

Specifications

  • Although this wax is commonly used to further darken plaster applications, enhance already black plasters to make the blackness in them stand out further. This is a solvent based wax, and if you wish to remove it, the solvent based wax remover should be used for the task.

  • Please bear in mind that this wax on its own does not make a finish waterproof. It can be used as part of a waterproofing system, but many other materials including an anticrack system as well as Stucco Sealer will be required.

Spreading Rate:

  • Approximately 13sqm per 500ml (Highly dependent on the desired effect).

Disclaimers

  • Please note that improper application of most protective or decorative waxes can lead to the finish being ruined. The final application can be left blurry or unevenly polished due to this. For this reason, we recommend that the wax is distributed evenly within the finish. On textured finishes, it is important to make sure that no clumps are left behind as these can discolour the plaster over time.
