Things are about to get hard. Really hard.
Introducing Microquarz
Microquarz is a mineral based compound designed for floors. Its seamless, continuous finish without any grout or joints is the perfect solution for creating hard wearing, minimalistic spaces that blend seamlessly into their surroundings, allowing for a truly sophisticated feel.
Our tireless search for the best of the best, has led to us partnering with the fantastic Ecoresinas company. A common love for uncomplicated beauty, sustainable materials that cause no harm to the environment, or those involved in its application process, has led to this exciting collaboration.

This is NOT a Microcement
Here at Impera Italia, we love Microcement. This fantastic material has opened up a world of possibilities and expression. Its effortless beauty and fairly simple application, has enabled us to offer our clientele a sophisticated material for interior decoration that is both highly durable and easy to live with.
Our new Microquarz material does not fall quite under the same category of material.
Microquarz is crafted with an entirely different, and unique recipe. By removing the cement from the material, and utilising a mineral based material in its place, Ecoresinas has created a coating that has some key advantages over Microcement, for specific applications. It should be clear, Microquarz is not designed to be a replacement for Microcement. Both materials are great in their own way, and are perfect for specific uses. Therefore, when looking for the perfect surface coating for your next project, it is important to learn the key differences between the two materials in order to make a decision on which material is best to use. To learn more about the right usage environments for Microquarz, please see the "Where should Microquarz be applied?" section.
What makes Microquarz different?
Its built different.
Microquarz does not contain cement. Instead, it uses a mineral base, combined with water-based resins as 85% of its total content. This composition gives the product entirely different features, such as increased flexibility that makes the product more resistant to stress cracks, something that Microcement has historically suffered from in certain application uses.
Lower absorption to external elements
Due to the different composition of the product, the overall finished application has a much lower level of absorption than regular, cement based Microcements. This makes Microquarz resistant to water penetration before any sealers are applied. It also makes it much harder for typical every day chemicals and products to penetrate the surface of the material, such as your red wines and lemon juices, some of the most common staining agents we are used to dealing with in every day environments.
Strength from within
Instead of relying for cementitious compounds to react together to create compressive strength, Microquarz is already made from highly durable, mineral materials that are innately strong. As the applied finish matures, and the water and resins evaporate, the compacted material gains increased compressive strength, to a level that is higher than parquet flooring.
Ready for outdoors
Its strong natural resistance and low absorption has made it possible to apply Microquarz indoors, as well as outdoors. This makes Microquarz the perfect solution for those kitchen and conservatory extensions that lead into outdoor patios. Microquarz has been designed with the intention of being the ultimate blend of strength, durability and aesthetic design. This allows us to consider application solutions that were not previously considered possible. All whilst giving complete peace of mind.
Hard Transit XL
The most complete solution for floors.
Hard Transit XL is a complete solution designed specifically for application on interior and exterior floors. The XL in the name comes from the fact that Hard Transit XL contains the largest Quartz particles of the whole Ecoresinas range. On top of this, the quartz particles are spherical in shape. This avoids crumbling of edges and provides an increase to the overall compressive strength of the material.
