Technical aspects, such as the base of a product are crucial to understand for any applicator to be able to work with a product, and make the most out of the application.
Polished plasters with an acrylic base offer an unparalelled glossy finish, which are especially suitable to create marble-like finishes on a variety of surfaces. Unlike lime-based plasters, an acrylic one does not allow the level of breathabilty a the natural base and binders would in other materials, so it's important to consider the conditions it will be exposed to.
Nevertheless, acrylic plasters offer a high level of shine and great workability, which makes it ideal for beginner plasterers.
