Darren first discovered his passion during his travels. - ‘’My journey started in New York in 2001, this is where I first discovered, Venetian plaster.’’

Upon returning home, he was able to explore the wide range of Venetian plasters and begin his journey in the industry.

Over time, his explorations and experience has led him to becoming the director of DQ Surface Designs and building his business. Darren’s achievements started with him building his project profile, along the way he has built relationships with many individual clients as well as businesses and brands.

Darren’s collaboration with Impera Italia has resulted in sharing knowledge and widening our service. – ‘’I begun to offer their training course in Ireland and became a brand ambassador. I now supply their products in Ireland region and have built up my own website & online store.’’

Darren is not only an experienced plasterer, skilled Microcement applicator, but also a trusted brand ambassador who has been a trainer for Impera Italia since 2016. Sharing how to create an immense range of traditional and modern finishes.

Darren and the DQ Surface Designs team are not limited to one area. Primarily based in Northern Ireland and working on projects in the Republic of Ireland, Darren offers projects not only in these location but also other areas of the United Kingdom.
