This reveal bead with self-adhesive foam, and 100 mm fibreglass mesh is used around window and door frames to create a neat and tight finish on your render while also reducing heat loss.
Reveal beads also minimise cracks. There is an adhesive strip on the bottom of the bead that holds it in place initially. The mesh from the bead then runs back along with the reveal of the window or door. Mesh is a key component of thin coat render systems helping to prevent cracking and is embedded within basecoat adhesive

Before applying smooth coatings on an anti-crack coating (like our mesh combined with Continuo Base or Colbeton), please make sure to apply a coat of a finer plaster to ensure that the large grain doesn’t show through and you don’t waste a lot of the smooth plaster or paint.
